Hey guys, it’s Travis at gaspumpheaven.com. I’m here in the warehouse again. Wanted to show you guys our station lighters. Now these are really cool. These are just like the ones you used to see out on the islands in front of the gas stations way back when. And I want to show you a couple of unique features to these.
First, these are all metal construction:
We have a steel pole.
This has an optional steel base on it.
The column and the harp are all solid cast aluminum.
Now this is our standard model right here with the optional base. This is our deluxe model which has the metal sign, one on each side, and also has the optional base on it. Now a couple of things too I wanted to point out on the deluxe model:
Any metal sign that we have we can put on there for you.
It doesn’t just have to be the round ones. So if you like the shell or the Phillips 66 or those oddly shaped, uniquely shaped signs, we can put that on there as well for you.
And now this is it with the black top. Also would look really good with the red top. Now these all are standard come in red. You have three optional colors of red, white, and black. If you want it in any specific color, that’s optional as well. So if you’re a golf guy or a Gilmore guy and you want to see one in all black maybe with that cream column and a cream harp, we can definitely do that for you. Just give us a call. We’ll let you know what that’s going to take.
Something else I want to show you is this is our mounting bracket. Sits right up under this column. Now this is again, this is a real heavy duty cast aluminum. Solid one piece, 5 eighths of an inch thick. A couple of ways that you can mount this:
You can bolt it right down to an island if you wanted to get an island.
Another cool thing, you can pour a pad, maybe put J-bolts in there and bolt it right down.
You can also mount it right on this optional base.
I wanted to show you this base. This base is solid steel and it’s reinforced and then of course that mounting bracket just bolts right into the bottom of it. Really nice option. Now when we ship these to you, we’re going to ship them to you in a couple of pieces. So in the next section of this video, we’re going to show you how to put them together.
Now once you have your paper on, go ahead and lay your pole down on the side and then slide your column onto it from the bottom. Now while it’s laying down, you want to run your wire. So go ahead and take your wire in the top, feed it all the way down through into the bottom. Now the next thing you’re going to want to do is take your mounting bracket and go ahead and bolt it down. If you’re going to put it in concrete or whatever you’re going to mount it to, go ahead and do that next. Now once that’s done, lift up your column and then put your pole right down into the mounting bracket.
The next thing you’re going to want to do is get a 2×4 or something to prop this base up. Then grab your ratchet and tighten in your mounting bolts on the sides into that pipe. Once that’s done, you can go ahead and remove your 2×4, set your column down and then you can remove your paper. Then we’re going to move to the top and we’re going to finish up the wiring. We’re going to put on the harp and the top.
Alright, now it’s time to move on to the top. Now you have a porcelain socket here. Go ahead and run your wire through the base into the porcelain socket. Then you grab your harp. What you do is go ahead and have your wire through like that. The wire is going to go through the base. Then what you do is flip it over and get that base about where it’s going to sit when it’s finished and then you can screw this top in. Once that’s all together, of course you’re going to be doing it up here close to the top. Once that’s all together, you can go ahead and take your top nut off here and put on your top. Tighten it up. Set it right in there like that and then you go ahead and tighten these two mounting screws. Get them good and snug and then you’re prettymuch done. If you did get the deluxe model, you’re going to have to put the signs on. And that is how you put together a station lighter. put together a station lighter.
