Globe Assembly

Hey guys, it’s Travis with GasPumpHeaven.com. We’ve been getting a lot of emails up here asking how to put together an ad glass globe. So here’s Diane, she’s going to show us how to do it.

This is how to put a globe together. A lot of you have a problem putting globes together. The globes come in two halves in whatever color you want:

Red, Black, White, Yellow, Green, Orange

What we do is I have a little jig here, and what I do is I put my globe, one of the half of the frames, into this little jig. I take the next area, there’s like a little notch on each side. There’s like a little lip here that you need to put that little notch into that lip. And it’ll click. And the next one, you’ll take the next side of the lens, and you want to put it into the other side. And there’s like a little rim in each side that you put into and click it also. Then you take the top half and you put it over the two lenses. And you just make sure it’s secure.

And what I usually do is three screws and nuts that come with this. And what I usually do is take each screw and put it in each hole. There’s three holes in the body. And then I take my screwdriver and just, I don’t put them completely tight, just loosen them. And then when I get all three of them done, then I tighten it up. Now I go back and tighten each one of them up. That’s how we put a globe together. It’s ready for your pump.

Now if you don’t have some type of brace to help support your globe, you can always use a friend. Just have them grab it with both hands firmly and that’ll help you put it together as well. And if there’s no one else around to help you, honestly, I just kind of put this one together by shoving it down in between the cushions of the couch.
